Do I need to book in advance for Open Play?
No. Open Play is strictly drop-in. Just arrive during the scheduled time slot, pay at the front desk, and join the rotation.
What if I don't have a partner for Partner Programs?
EPC offers an assisted matching service. Register as a “Solo Seeking Partner” and we will pair you with someone of a similar DUPR rating.
What is DUPR and why is it required?
DUPR is the global rating system for pickleball. We use it to ensure fair, competitive matches. It’s free to sign up and helps track your improvement accurately.
Are paddles provided for drop-in play?
Yes, we have high-quality rental paddles available at both locations for $5.00 per session. Beginners are welcome to try before they buy!
Can I play Open Play as a 4.5+ player?
Absolutely. We designate specific courts during Open Play for higher skill brackets to ensure everyone has games that challenge them.
How long are the Partner Program blocks?
Most Partner Program blocks run for 6 weeks, though we occasionally offer 4-week “Sprint” sessions or 8-week extended ladders.
What is the paddle-rotation system?
Players place their paddles in a rack or “bin” to wait for an open court. This ensures fair rotation and gives everyone a chance to mix with different players.
Is there a minimum age for Open Play?
Open Play is 14+, however, we have specialized Junior Open Play sessions on weekends for players aged 8-13.
Can I switch between locations?
Yes! Your membership or public player account works seamlessly at both EPC West and EPC South.
I'm a absolute beginner. Should I do Open Play?
Yes, but we recommend our “Beginner Open Play” slots. These sessions have coordinators who will help you learn the basic rules and scoring while you play.
